Tampa, FL (RestaurantNews.com) Shipley Do-Nuts, the nation’s largest and oldest brand of fresh, handmade daily donuts and kolaches, founded in 1936, will open its first Clearwater location on Dec. 15 at 4004 Ulmerton Road, bringing its signature menu offerings to Tampa Bay.
Under a multi-unit development partnership with Virentes Hospitality, the new location is situated just west of Carillon Business Park, directly across from St. Pete–Clearwater International Airport.
Guests can indulge in Shipley’s full menu of more than 40 irresistible varieties, from the legendary plain glazed donut made with the brand’s original recipe to savory kolaches and freshly brewed La Colombe coffee.
“We have wanted to introduce Shipley to Clearwater for a long time, and we can’t wait to share the brand’s genuine hospitality and mouthwatering donuts with the community,” said Andrew Povec, vice president of operations for Virentes Hospitality and lifetime local resident of St. Pete/Clearwater area. “This location is destined to be a convenient, one-stop shop for early-morning commuters and weekend treat seekers alike – where guests can count on a warm, fresh donut, great coffee and fast service every time. Personally, I can’t wait to have these scrumptious donuts closer to home.”
Open daily from 5 a.m. to 8 p.m., this location features a new high-speed drive thru, making it seamless for locals, travelers and families alike – serving up donuts so delicious that every first bite sparks pure joy.
The Clearwater restaurant – Shipley’s third location in Florida – is an important milestone in Virentes Hospitality’s regional rollout for the brand. Additionally, Virentes is actively planning to open more concepts in the Tampa area soon.
